Professor Barbara Casu

Professor of Banking and Finance; Module Leader – International Banking

Barbara is Director of the Centre for Banking Research at Cass Business School, and joined the finance faculty at Cass in August 2007.

Previously, she was Senior Lecturer in Financial Studies at the University of Wales, Bangor. She has also worked at the University of Reading (UK), Aston University (UK), and the Catholic University of Milan (Italy).

Her research interests lie in empirical banking, although several of Barbara’s research projects are cross-disciplinary and include aspects of financial regulation, structured finance, accounting, and corporate governance.

She is co-author of Introduction to Banking (FT Pearson Education), and recently co-edited The Palgrave Handbook of European Banking (2017).
