Dr Sonia Falconieri

Reader in Finance; Module Leader – Corporate Finance

Sonia joined Cass’s finance faculty in September 2009.

Previously, she was lecturer in Finance at Brunel University London. She also worked at the University of Amsterdam and University of Tilburg in the Netherlands.

Her research interests lie in corporate finance. Specifically, she has been working on initial public offerings, takeovers, and the financing side of public-private partnerships, among other areas.

Her articles have been published in major journals such as the JEEA, Review of Finance, and Financial Management.

Sonia received her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Economics from Bocconi University, Milan (Italy), and holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Toulouse (France).
